Friends from all over, my friend María José Athié Martínez and I  (Xaab Nop) (had been working together on Math education based on Indigenous Knowledges for over 4 years now. We have presented in conferences and have many amazing projects to develop in Oaxaca and all over the country (Mexico).

We applied for a conference (World Indigenous People Conference on Education -WIPCE-) that got accepted, an amazing conference that happens every 3 years and the only conference in the World organized by Indigenous people and where more than 80% of participants are indigenous. 

Our contributions

I'm Ayuujk Jääyy (from the Mixe tribe) and the non-indigenous people participating get to be there just by invitation from an Indigenous coworker or someone that knows your work.

Last WIPCE conference in 2014, María José attended in Hawaii, this year is in Toronto, June 26-28th. 
However, we got accepted, we have the conference room and everything is ready, BUT WE HAVEN'T GOT THE MONEY TO GET THERE!!! AND PAY FOR THE REGISTRATION!!! 

I made a funding campain for the past 4 months with no result. Here we are now, finding new horizons, and more hearts to make this dream come true.
